Robbinsdale Cooper Alumni Assocation

Making connections for Cooper students, past, present and future.

Connecting to: Cooper High School - Cooper's Mission is "To provide a caring and vibrant community where all members are respected, we will educate students to become active, compassionate, principled critical thinkers."

Hennepin Technical College  Connections are in the works.  Cooper alumni are asked to encourage young people to consider going into the trades, tool and die graphic design, IT support and visual arts.  The current generation of plumbers, electricians, pipe fitters, drafters, auto mechanics and welders will soon be retiring.  There are plenty of opportunities in the trades profession.

Upward Bound   Cooper's Upward Bound Program is through North Hennepin Community College. Alumni can assist by speaking with Cooper students on various subjects; their experience at NHCC, study habits, job interview skills, tips for suceeding in college or serving as a chaperon on a field trip.  To learn more about the Upward Bound program at Cooper call Liz Iverson, Program Direction 763 488-0459 or send an email: liz.iverson@NHCC.edu

College Possible  Alumni are needed to assist college bound students with reviewing their summer check list.  Details will be posted soon.  Caitlin Gibson CGibson@CollegePossible.org or Emily Rifkin ERifkin@CollegePossible.org

Legacy Project  The Class of 1969 established The Legacy Project in 2009. The Legacy Project is a collaboration of Cooper Alumni and Cooper administration to assist students who find themselves in desperate stituations.  Over the past 7 years the Legacy Project has provided basic need items to Cooper students.

It is through the Legacy Project that Cooper Alumni volunteer at Cooper during and after school.  If you are interested in volunteering or donating items, please contact Heidi Chiodo at 763 504-8484
