After seven years in the Air Force including a year as a Special Ops helicopter door gunner in Vietnam I returned to the area in 1975 for college. I spent 29 years with Ford Motor Company working in many positions including nearly 20 years as a Powertrain Resident Engineer in 10 different Ford plants. I retired in Kansas City in 2007.

The past nine years I have done consulting work for Ford in Missouri, Minnesota, Kentucky and several stints in China. My current assignment is at the Flat Rock plant working with the Mustang. I think in a few years I will take the advice of so many and "really retire" with my love of my life for the past six years in the Traverse City area.

UPDATE - We didn’t retire in TC but instead bought an 1868 home in Hillsdale MI that we operate as a Bed and Breakfast known as the Broad Street Manor (www.broad street manor.com)

I have had a good life with no complaints. I am saddened by list of classmates who are no longer with us. I feel blessed!
