 The 1947 college football season finished with Notre Dame, Michigan, and Penn State
all unbeaten and untied, but the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame were the first place choice
for 107 of the 142 voters in the final AP Poll in early December, and repeated as national
champions.

In the final AP Poll, Michigan received 192 first place votes, twice as many as second-place
Notre Dame which garnered 97 first place votes. This remained the last consensus national
title won by the Wolverines until 2023. The 1948 season was Michigan's second straight undefeated, untied  season..............................................................

Sounds like fun Vickie.  I wasn't expecting a large turnout from our class (unless there was free beer and a nap!). 

The house Mexican restaurant Cosa Sabrosa is very good.  Food truck moved inside.  Designer tacos.  Food until 9.

Next door is Holidays.  A family restaurant.

Across the street is Dan Juan's Mexican and take-out pizza place Hungry Howie's.

We will likely be outside which means 7-10.  We're inside 8-11 if it is too hot or rains.

The band is great!  You will want to dance all night.

Expected audience size is about 80.

There are no plans for a 55^th class reunion this year.

However, classmate Karl Diez belongs to a band “Salmagundi” Check out their website: https://www.salmagundi-a2.com. They play “our” music from our generation! They will be performing on Saturday, August 6^th at 7 - 10pm. at the Zal Gaz Grotto on Stadium Blvd.
