I live in the country south of Charlottesville, Virginia. My son, John, lives nearby and my daughter, Alison, lives for now (and maybe always) in New Zealand. Sadly, I lost my husband of 32 years to cancer 2-1/2 years ago. I have been a freelance writer and editor for many years and now have the job I was supposed to have when I grew up, as a book editor at National Geographic. I have stayed in touch with only two classmates over the years, more recently a few more via Facebook, so this is already quite an experience. Watching those names roll by brings back so many cobwebby memories. Reading
