I’m so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. I remember well his kindness and sense of humor. I can see him, back in HS laughing with that kind face! What a wonderful memory! My prayers for his wife and family; that sweet memories and God’s peace, love and comfort will cover you at this time.

David has been one of my dearest friends since we were 5 years old. I pray I never forget the wonderful times and memories we shared. May God bring comfort to his wonderful wife Sandy, the kids and grandkids. I'm so very sorry for your loss. David was a devout Christian and I am comforted he is in a better place.

Linda Laurine Dowell of Beaumont passed away October 7, 2014. She was born June 20, 1948 in Beaumont to Clarence Herbert Dowell and Velma Hatley Dowell. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm.Laurine attended school in Beaumont and was a 1966 graduate of French High School. After graduating she attended Lamar University. Later she served as Safety Education Specialist for both the City of Beaumont and Lamar University. Laurine was a very creative person and at one time owned Dowell's Drapery Shop in Beaumont.She is preceded in death by her father and her brother, Glenn Hatley Dowell. It is with a heavy heart to inform you, our classmate, Julian Galiano, passed July 27th, Sunday morning. Julian stipulated there be no memorial, but we could honor him in our own way.
To honor Julian and in lieu of flowers, the FHS Class of '66 is making a donation to the Lamar Sports Program in his name. Being Julian was a sports writer and was a Lamar fan, it was felt this would be appropriate.

Evelyn Duperier passed away yesterday. As most of you remember she was our registrar at FHS. I remember her as a sweet, very pretty woman who brightened up the office. I don't have any info on services. Her daughter Diane who went to BHS let Randy and I know and said she'd let us know about plans for her mom ASAP.
UPDATE: A memorial service and Celebration of the Life of Evelyn Smith Duperier will be at 1:00PM Friday October 30, 2015 at the Wesley United Methodist Church 3810 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a gathering to follow her service in the church parlor.
