OBITUARY...
Laurie E. Keitzer, 59, of Vandergrift, formerly of New Kensington, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, in West Penn Hospital, Bloomfield.

She was born May 8, 1950, in Austin, Texas. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Natrona Heights. Mrs. Keitzer was a homemaker, who was very active in foster care, providing care for more than 20 children.

She also enjoyed being a hairdresser for her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dennis J. Keitzer; four children, Natalie Pettigrew, of Vandergrift, Jason (Jennifer) Keitzer, of Gilpin Township, Caleb (Christina) Keitzer, of Vandergrift, and Bethany Keitzer, at home; her mother, Eleanor Beales Holt Smitherman, of Springdale, Ark.; eight grandchildren; a brother, Brad (Mary) Holt, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters, Jennifer Holt, of California, and Cheri Holt, of Minneapolis, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carroll B. Holt; and a son-in-law, Todd Pettigrew.

Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in Harvest Baptist Church, 224 Harvest Lane, Natrona Heights. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Kurt W. Skelly.
