OBITUARY...
Dennis was born August 31, 1950, in Artesian, SD, to the late Melvin Madsen and Beverly Jones Madsen. He grew up and attended school in Rapid City, SD. Dennis loved baseball, especially the Braves. He was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus and was a member of Liberty Bible Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. The Men’s Prayer Breakfast is named for Dennis. He was a man of prayer and an inspiration to others.

He was the devoted husband of Patti Bryan Madsen of Oakwood. He is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jose and Melanie Olvera of Lula; grandchildren, Jordan and Kaylie Wilson; brothers, Darcy Madsen and Darrell Madsen, both of Rapid City; aunt, Devonna Simonsen of Chamberlain, SD; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and sister Melva Jean Madsen.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Bill McKinney and Pastor Chuck Lysaker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Liberty Bible Church Youth, 4735 Stephens Road, Gainesville, GA 30504.
