Formerly, Liz Birkholtz, I changed my name to Lila Rose Birchwood in 1999 for inspirational reasons. I was an elementary school teacher for many years, also a graduate student in Educational Psychology. I am currently single and moved to the Austin area April 2009. I love it here. My sister, Letha lives here and Mom moved here in August 2010. I am now retired. I was in a very serious car accident in 2013 and am still dealing with rehab and pain. But I can participate in activities and have good health and a good life.

I lived in Toledo, OH, for 26 years and in Hawaii for almost 2 years, then back to Omaha for almost 6 years. I've been a college instructor, a photographer, and a health club manager, among other things; and I like to paint, read, and learn from tv. I was married for 17 years (no kids) and have been single for about 24 years, dating of course, and still hoping to meet a special companion.
I've been very lucky in life with great friends and family, travel, and adventure. I am ready to have more fun and new experiences. I visited my Omaha family and some of our classmates in October 2017. Some of the best friendships are the old ones that have lasted. See you in September!!!!
