My special girl, love of my life and life partner of 40+ years died on 6/09/23. She has been battling chronic pain and a host of physical problems for years, which has caused her to withdraw to our home. She never gave up hope, her love for her children and family and her belief in us. She maintained her loyalty for Donald Trump, conservative values and American traditions- much to the dismay of anyone who might challenge her on any of those issues.
I already feel her absence in my world-having that special someone who always had my back, who I could count on to see the best in me regardless of circumstances or others’ opinions.
She never stopped loving, was always ready for a good laugh.
I wish I could have done something to save her. I pray that she has found peace with God, Jesus after all these years of suffering. She used to ask when her pain was the greatest,”what am I being punished for?”
DA loved to sing, she loved reading and keeping books around her as her good friends. She loved the color red and elephants. She loved our dogs and watching birds. She loved the mountains. She was sensuous and a great love-maker. She loved her children, missed Lauree and her mother. She forever missed her father. She was abused as a child and could not let go of that experience. She was always proud of her “double first cousins”. She researched and sought out a relationship with her half-brother, Gary and his family. She was a proud member of the Toast of Tampa women’s choir and performed with them until her health problems forced her to resign.
I was lucky to be part of her life. I couldn’t believe she chose me to be her partner.
