Three children - 2 girls and a boy, 7 grandchildren ages 13-22 and two Westies ages 7 and 13

We became permanent residents of Bellevue, Iowa in Jan 2015 - moved in a blinding snowstorm! Bellevue is a small farming community of 2,500 but extremely progressive and we enjoy the spirit of small town comaraderie.

We have a home in Bellevue and a cottage on the Mississippi River for summer fun. Cottage front yard is the river and accessible by boat and "over the river and through the woods" lane. So, if any of you are travelling via car or Mississippi River, please stop for rest/ night. Dock facilities are available for your convenience! The Bellevue area is beautiful and we spend many hours on our Mississippi River pontoon boat enjoying the flora and fauna.

Both of us are also involved in the Bellevue American Legion (SAL and Auxiliary) which keeps us busy volunteering for events within the community.

I retired in 2009 (doing lots of yard work as Daphne is a Master Gardener and keeps me busy.
