Hi Fellow Vikes!
Well a lot of life has happened since North High School!!
After high school, I attended Omaha University/UNO majoring in Business Administration; however on the first day of my second year I was involved in a very bad motorcycle accident on the way to school (08/69) so this interrupted my education at UNO. After recovery from the accident I attended the Nebraska Vocational Technical School in Milford, NE majoring in Electronics Technology. Western Electric hired me out of school in 06/71. While working for Lucent I went to Bellevue University majoring in Business Administration. I worked for the company in many various positions for 30 years as the company morphed itself from Western Electric->AT&T->Lucent Tech.->Avaya Inc. I retired from Avaya in February, 2002 as their SAP Security Administration Manager. I took two years off after retirement to take care of my Mother Irene, (we lost Mom on 6/26/08). I also have done volunteer work at church and in North Omaha. I have worked for the past four years as the Inventory Manager for a Siding & Window Distributor based in Omaha. I am now semi-retired!
I have three children, son Chad (33 in Parker, CO), son Brent (31 in Omaha, NE), and daughter Dana (28 in Willmar, MN). All three of my children are in Retail Management, Chad with Target Stores, Brent with Hobby Lobby, and Dana with Wal*Mart. I have one granddaughter (Dana's daughter Kyra 20 Mo.) She's my “Little Angelâ€. I'm single and loving life! Some of my passions of life are: working with computers, Financial Management (my own & family), church activities, hangin' with my kids when they are in town, and my dog “Muffieâ€.
I look forward to seeing and talking with all of you at the reunion, if not before! It's going to be a BLAST!
Bob
