Attended N.U. in Lincoln and O.U. in Norman, OK, worked as exploration geologist, manager, and executive for Occidental Petroleum in U.S. and abroad. Retired in 2000 and now writes on the subject of ancient Greek military history for fun and profit (three books to date plus numerous articles).
