FOSTER, Stephen Alfred
"Steve" 70, of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2018, surrounded by his children. Steve was a Tampa native who graduated from Robinson High School, class of 1965. After apprenticing with the Tampa Tribune, he took a job with the Detroit Free Press, retiring after 39 years of service. He enjoyed splitting time between his Michigan home and Florida home, prior to making Florida his permanent residence, being closer to his family. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred A. and Elizabeth S. Foster of Tampa, and his brother, John R. Foster of Tampa. He is survived by his brother, Frank A. Foster (Tampa) and his family; Karen Poppelreiter-Foster and her family; his children, Dave (Lisa) of Spring Hill, Kim (Brad) of Tampa, and Kurt (Cynthia) of Lilburn, GA; his nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Steve requested there be no official services, instead saying 'Let a happy memory serve your heart.' If you would like to honor his life, please make a donation to Hospice or a .
