GONZALEZ-ROEL, Adolfo

57, of Tampa, passed away July 26, 2017. A native of Havana, Cuba and lifelong resident of Tampa. Adolfo was preceded in death by his father, Adolfo Gonzalez; mother, Teresa A. Roel; and father-in-law, Tony Perrone. He is survived by his loving children, A.J. Gonzalez-Roel (Janet Cruz) and Teresa M. Gonzalez-Roel (Dax Alvarez); former wife, Patty Gonzalez-Roel; grandchildren, Vincent Gonzalez-Roel, Luna and Luca Alvarez; brother, Julio (Lucia) Gonzalez-Roel; niece and nephew, Francesca and Julio Gonzalez-Roel, Jr.; aunt and uncle, Migdalia and Thomas McGeough; cousins, Christina and Patricia McGeough; mother-in-law, Mary Perrone; sister-in-law, Toni Marie Perrone; dear friend, Joey Gutierrez and many other loving family members and friends. Adolfo was a graduate of Hillsborough High School Class of 1978 and Miami-Dade College and was a licensed funeral director serving the Tampa community with love and compassion for over 30 years. He was an amazing athlete, loved sports, was a past member of the Knights of the Krewe of Sant'Yago, and the Ybor City Rotary Club. Adolfo was a loving father, grandfather, brother and will be dearly missed by all. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 5, at 1:30 pm at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 5225 N. Himes Ave., with the family receiving friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 3709 W. Jetton Ave., Tampa, FL 33629.
