After graduation I worked at General Telephone Co. until I married Ed Batora in 1960. We had 6 children, 4 daughters and 2 sons by the time I was 27 yrs. old.
We are crop farmers now for 48 years. I worked at the school at Ovid-Elsie part time while the children were growing up and then 10 years as secretary for the plant manager at Michigan Milk Producers Association and another six years as a secretary. Guess Sister Mary Leslie's classes helped with this.

We have 11 grandchildren and keep active with them. I spend my time volunteering at St Cyril's Catholic Church, sewing and making quilts and gifts for all. Working in the Pro-Life Movement is important to me.

We have traveled some, but Rome was a highlight for me. I would love to go again.
It's hard to believe it's 55 years since we graduated. I am so grateful my parents sent us to St. Paul's and thankful for the Sisters and Priests that taught us.

Since our 50th Class Reunion the big change in my life was the loss of my husband Ed on February 18, 2011. We were fortunate to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary even though it was while Ed was in intensive care after his serious heart operation. I still live on my farms in Elsie, but another change is I haved changed parishes and returned to St Paul’s in Owosso. Back home (sort of). My son Brian rents the farms and keeps things going.

I am looking forward to our 55th Class Reunion and visiting with all of you.

Oh yes, Norman Van Eeckhoutte, I went to the old Bryant School for kindergarten and my memory was my sister Josephine took me on the first day of school and I stopped at the door. I was shy and did not want to go in and she kept saying “go in, go in”. Finally the teacher had to get me to come into the classroom, (what a memory – longtime ago).
