Single (again!), 4 sons, 4 step-kids, 17 + 3-on-the-way grandkids.

If someone would have told me I'd be driving a team of Belgian horses or mules at 50+ years, I'd wonder! But I realized a dream of living on a ranch, and I now live in the Black Hills of South Dakota on the South Dakota/Wyoming border by Crazy Horse Memorial. After many years of working as an RN in Opthamology with my husband George (deceased), I am now retired. I am dabbling in real estate which may end up in another full time job. Also, I travel a lot between Colorado and Minnesota where most of my family still reside. Very blessed with great kids and their spouses and lots of grandchildren, and I'm only 39!!?? Am still downhill skiing, quilting and doing photography and horses. Haven't been to a reunion in 20 years! (Huh!?) Look forward to seeing everyone. It's a pleasure knowing we had a top notch-talented bunch of wonderful people in

Denny, Douglas M. Douglas Marvin Denny passed away at the age of 69 on September 29, 2018. Doug was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He is survived by wife, Peggy; sons, Tony (Jennifer) and Adam (Stacy); brother, David; sister, Linda; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Doug will be dearly missed and remembered by all for his larger than life personality, his unbridled benevolence, and most of all, for his trademark sense of humor. He was the man with a thousand jokes, one tailored for every occasion. There will be a memorial service in his honor on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Hidden Haven Golf Course, 20520 NE Polk St. in East Bethel, MN. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon with the service at 1:00 PM. A celebration of life will follow later that evening.

Doug's last entry on Website Messages:
Peggy and I have been married for over 38 years, with 2 grown boys, Tony and Adam and 5 wonderful grandkids!!! They range from 9 to 17 years old with the oldest getting ready to graduate in June of 2008. Time really flies , doesn't it?
We own a small remodeling , room additions, and new construction company; Allegro Building and Design, Inc.; and believe it or not we actually work together.
We live in Andover, which seems like the country when you drive into cities like Brooklyn Park, Crystal, and Robbinsdale.
Doug's hobbies are Golf, Hunting and fishing, and Peggy's are canning, knitting, sewing, and most of all Spoiling all of the grandkids.
We are really looking forward to the reunion on Friday and Saturday to see everyone again and see what's new since the last reunion.

Just got a note from this site from an old friend, Tom Doty (RHS '66), and thought I should probably update my info. My lovely wife of 41 years, Kathy, and I have moved to Wisconsin, first Milwaukee and now Brookfield, to be closer to our two beautiful grandchildren, 5 and 3, their parents, and my youngest daughter and her husband who live in Chicago for a couple more weeks. They are moving to Georgia. Kids, never stay where you want them, right?
I worked for the State of MN for 34 years as a Behavior Analyst and Hospital Administrator. My wife worked as a High School Language Arts teacher in New York Mills, MN. until her disability required her to retire after 32 years. I retired to help her enjoy our children and grandchildren as much as possible.
Her disability makes it extremely difficult to travel much so I don't expect that I will be returning for reunions, but I try to keep up with the latest news on line.
Be like Tom and drop me a note. I'd love to hear from you!

Let's see...what can I tell you in a few a teacher and the
2 youngest are still in college.

I taught for several years, subbed and stayed home with the kids, and then worked in interior design and sales. Now I'm semi-retired. I work at Curves several days a week, and take care of my two granddaughters who are 8 and 6. I'm having fun with both of these "jobs".

I am so blessed to have had such wonderful, kind, fun, high school friends. It was great to travel back in time with you Friday p.m. and also hear what you're doing now.

After RHS I attended Concordia College in Moorhead, graduating with a B.A. in 1971. At Concordia I was a kicking specialist on the varsity football team for four years. I remember playing against former Robins teammates Jim Twardy at North Dakota State, Rich Reinholdz at Gustavus and Bill Laliberte at Saint John's. I had my best year in football as a senior, setting kicking records and being recognized as a Little All-American by one publication. I had a contract offer from the Chicago Bears and participated in their training camp in 1971. "Fortunately" I was cut in time so that I could accept a teaching assistantship and do graduate work at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following my M.A. in Seattle, I continued graduate work in Germany, receiving my terminal degree in education in 1975. I have been enjoying a rewarding professional life in higher education, teaching in the field of international management and managing degree programs in international business. My work has allowed me to remain in close touch with the US, taking leaves to teach for a number of years in Seattle and Tacoma, WA, and at universities in Missouri, North Carolina and Tennessee. I retired from full-time teaching in 2015, but I am still teaching on a reduced load. I have three children. They all have dual US-German citizenship. Two of them, Jennifer and Jeff, attended Macalester College. Jeff had a good career in media relations in Minnesota, working at the Governor's Office and at the University of Minnesota for many years before taking a position at Rice University in Texas.

I have very fond memories of my time at RHS and I am considering flying over for the 50th reunion.
