Life has certainly been a journey! An exciting, never boring one! After HS I went to the U of M, also medical school there and residency at Smiley's Point Clinic on the West Bank. Married during medical school and unmarried during residency. I met my true love, Milt, while working at Park Nicollet Medical Center. Then moved on to Edina Family Physicians for several years. Then in 1994 we moved to Romania as medical missionaries with World Mission Prayer League, a Lutheran missionary and prayer society. We retired and returned to the States in 2012, settling in Duvall, WA, a small town just east of the Seattle suburbs. From there, we've moved a couple of times and now are firmly planted in Prescott, AZ! We love retirement! And we love it here! People in Prescott are just as friendly as folks in Minnesota! Since COVID, we haven't traveled as much as initially after retirement, but we're happy with that. It allows us to be more involved in volunteer work here.

My husband, Peter and I have retired. We love traveling with our motorhome. In the winter, we stayed near Corpus Christi,TX, but plan on trying Green Valley, AZ next year. The summers are relaxing at our lake home in Nevis and attending Bluegrass festivals. I married a Bluegrass Banjo player. I enjoy painting in acrylics and oils pictures I have taken with my camera. Also, two young grandchildren keep us busy.

"It's My Calling"

It's really something I can do so well. In fact, it seems the reason I exist.
And you might say that I have heard the call, for in retirement I have found my bliss.
Yes, teaching at four dental schools was fine, with students taking Radiology,
But work had started filling up the time for what it was I that I was meant to be.
I play my bass, a clarinet, in band, and now there's time for travel with my wife.
And sculpture classes in Edina and Diane and I can find the nice in life.
With no excuse I write this poetry, and then get back to my biography.

40 years! It's hard to believe. Thinking about the reunion brings up lots of memories, and a few gaps. Briefly: Married to Gail (21 years), two daughters, 18 and 14 years. Live and work in St. Paul. Life is good.

I have been happily married to my wife Karen for 44 years. We have two married daughters and four grandchildren ranging in age from 17 down to 20 months which keeps us on our toes. Since selling our manufacturing business in 2007 our time is divided between both of our homes. Most of our time is spent at our Leech Lake home where I enjoy woodworking and my wife enjoys quilting. At our home in Ramsey I am working on completing my second street rod which I hope to complete before I die!
Karen and I attended the 20th reunion and are being encouraged by former classmates we have recently been reunited with to attend.

Wow, can't believe it has been 5 years since our last reunion and 3 years since our 60th Birthday Party.
It as been so much fun getting together and remember the fun we had in high school and other class reunions. We've had a great time listening to the music played by the PonTunes and kicking up or heels a bit. I am Really looking forward to our 45th reunion and seeing everyone again. If you are one of our classmates that have never attended one of the reunions please give it a try. Pretty sure you will enjoy yourself.

I am still working for G&K Services full time and dreaming of the day that I might be able to retire. I am very fortunate to have my wonderful husband Gary, who is retired and has taken on most of the house duties, so when the weekends roll around we can enjoy them doing other things. All three of our children live within 20 miles of us so we spend alot of time with them and our two grand daughters.

I have enjoyed co chairing our Reunion Committee with Jim Berg and working with such wonderful group of talented people. I really hope you will all join us in a fun filled night of eating, dancing and reminiscing. Remember we are not getting any younger so now is the time to come and get Reacquainted with your classmates.

See you in October,

Cathy Buckley Carlson

Hi Everyone! I can't believe this many years have passed. I've been married to Tom Bies for almost 38 years now. We have two children. My daughter is a nurse at North Clinic in Robbinsdale. My son is an IT technologist at Cargill. I work at the law firm of Zimmerman Reed in downtown Mpls. Hoping to retire soon! Tom works for the City of New Hope. We moved to Elk River about 8 years ago when we became empty nesters. Love it here! We have been taking a cruise every winter to the Carribean. We collect old cars and have two of them so we attend many car shows all summer. My high school years have left me with many fond memories of all of you! I would be happy to hear from anyone that would like to write me.

Married to Tova, 2 kids.

I have fond memories of Robbinsdale, in particular the Senior train trip. I don't think any further comment is necessary on this particular episode. Suffice it to say that it inspired me for the next several years. I made many new friends on that trip. Thanks for the beautiful experience.

(Jan. 2010) I have recently taken a new job, and have switched continents. I am now professor and chair of Film Studies at the University of St Andrews (Scotland). I have kept my old address in Michigan, as my wife and family is still there (for now).

The last time I was in Minneapolis was for the 25th reunion which seems like yesterday. Sock hops, Stags for those of us who belonged, remember some of those parties, oh the Robin's nest.

After 30+ years in the corporate world you would think its time to retire so we did. Ya right, we downed sized from the last home I built and moved to the coast in California and now own a art gallery. Nothing like waking up in the morning and looking out at the Pacific Ocean and watching the sunset as well. Our daughter turned 21 on Father's day this year and is attending college in Sacramento, CA.

40 years Wow!
I wonder when I look in the mirror What happened to that guy in the picture that got caught in the rain storm before getting his picture taken for the annual?

I married my high school sweet heart Cathy Buckley, we have been in love for over 40 year's, have helped raise three wonderful kids two girls Lisa age 38, Cindy 33,And a boy Jeff 25. I wish I could go back in time to revisit to high school years, I know that if I did I would do things a lot diffrently.

Thinking of the friends we still have from high school and see not often enough! I think how important it is value people because we all are just here a very short time!

I feel sorry for the people that are so self involved with their day to day lives and disregard there adolescence years.

40 years is a long time but 50 years might be impossible for some of us! Hope to see you at the 40th reunion.

I'm now retired from 30 years of teaching and living in eastern Washington, instead of the beautiful-but-not-so-sunny Seattle area. It's warm, but dry, here and has lovely scenery. For those of you who've never ventured this far west of the Mississippi, I can guarantee you'd enjoy our area of the state. It's covered with mountains, rolling hillsides, vineyards, orchards, and dairy farms. We're the new Napa Valley--with 32 wineries just in Prosser. Our winters are spent in REALLY SUNNY Peoria, AZ. Come visit us sometime. Hugs! Kathy

I wasn't one of the most popular girls in our class, but I was NICE!
Favorite memories include: band, especially Marching band and going to the State competition in Winnipeg, Nancy Peterson's perfect flip, Connie Overlie's High School makeover, Pep Club and playing clarinet for the musicals. I never got to go to a Prom or had a date for Homecoming, but I still enjoyed all the hoopla and had fun anyway. Lot's of friends, lots of fun and lots of growing up! Those were the days!

40 years----Can't be that long cause I don't feel that old.

I have a double reason to celebrate because the committee picked my birthday for this shindig.

Let the good times roll.

40 years & I still look the same (lol) I've moved from Tampa to Alabama. Have been here for the last 14 yrs. and still can't stand the heat. My daughter just turned 21 and hopefully will finish up college in May. Am officially retired now but don't know yet if I like it. How do you get rid of that MN work ethic?

So since I wrote the last profile, I've moved to Las Vegas to be by my daughter and thanks to Judy Jauch Welch, It's Bingo time 24/7.

I am truly amazed that so many of us write that we don't believe that we are celebrating our 40th reunion. Your bodies must be a lot kinder to you than mine has been to me!! The knees, the hips are so uncooperative that I'm in total disbelief!!!
Life is grand! Married to the same Darling for 38 years. Three grown [Thank God] children. Three almost perfect grandchildren.

We still own a Party Store and decorating business on 25th and Hennepin in Minneapolis -- 28 years! I walk to work -- truly the best "happy hour" you could ever imagine!

I have volunteered in Minneapolis Public Schools for 35 years. It is the best! My mother always said,"We owe public education until 6 days after we are dead!! She's was right!

I am also very active in our community and politics! As Sharie Thomas Westling knows we move to the far left in our house!!!

We were all so fortunate to have received such a great base in Robbinsdale schools. I often worry that we are forgetting that we must secure the same education for generations to come.
