My husband Olvis and I met at UTex, married in '67. After graduating, we moved all over the SE before retiring in 2000. Just moved to Louisville from the Hilton Head area and are now near our two kids and 6 grands. Weird hobbies: serious birding, playing the mountain dulcimer.

I graduated in 1964 from BHS, attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and entered the US Air Force. I served 3 years in Vietnam and was discharged from the service in 1972. In 1973 I went to work for AT&T where I was employed for 33 years, retiring as Director of Data Operations in San Antonio in July of 2005. I was married to Bobbie Nabors of Dallas, Texas for 26 years, have a daughter(Michelle) and two grand children. My wife passed away from illness in 2009 and in 2013 I returned to the Galveston area buying a home in League City.

After high school, I spent a ridiculous number of years at Michigan State Univ., then UT at Austin, followed by UT Medical Branch in Galveston, back to UT at Austin, and, finally, the Univ. of California at San Francisco (Medical Branch).

Having thus been educated within an inch of my life I worked for another 30 years as a consulting computer systems designer and systems analyst, specializing first in medicine, later, in criminal justice, and, as my swan song, the nuclear power industry. I am now, mercifully, retired.

My first marriage didn't take, but the second one did. Nora and have been together now for 34 years and it doesn't look like there's any getting rid of her (and I know she can't get rid of me).

I went into the service (USAF) in '64 being stationed at the embassy in Paris, France (3 yrs.). I Came back to Galveston '68 and stumbled around a while. I then attended school in Lubbock, obtaining a BS degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University (go Red Raiders) and that degree was tough!! I then went to work with Amoco Chemicals Corp. until '87, whereupon I left that job/profession and went back to school in Cougar land (UH), getting my second BS degree (Clinical Psychology); subsequently I worked with MHMR at UT Galv. as a dual diagnosis case manager, eventually transferring ('97) to the state MH regional authority (Gulf Coast Center) in field Rx case management, in addition to working jointly with the MH field crisis unit of the Galveston County sheriff's department until 2011, at which time I retired. I love to paint, draw, sketch, play guitar/piano, read poetry, classical literature and photograph any and all things of interest. My marriage in '74 (Ruby), produced two wonderful gifts, sons Matthew and Michael, whose marriages have further blessed us with 2 very beautiful grandchildren (Kylee and Zoe).
