We raised nearly $6000 for B-CC during the 50th reunion events. Let's donate even more for the 60th.
General contributions in any amount can be made through the B-CC High School Education Foundation. See www.bccedfoundation.org (click "Donate now")
A GIFT FROM THE CLASS OF 1962
The most important passion that the B-CC High School of today shares with the B-CC of our era is a community of teachers, students and parents who care very much about excellence in education. Some things at the school have changed. For instance, B-CC now includes 9th grade as well as 10th through 12th. Behind the familiar front facade, renovations and new buildings have been created.
And there are new challenges: In the 1990's school budgets in Montgomery County were slashed. At the same time the population of the area served by B-CC was changing. Demographic data reveals that 38% of the students in Montgomery County schools speak a second language at home. In response to reduced funding and increased challenges, a group of staff, parents, alums and concerned citizens formed a Community Coalition. One result was the B-CC High School Educational Foundation, which provides support for students, including programs that promote academic excellence, provide a small school experience, and connect students with the community.
Whether you'll be at the reunion in October or not, please consider contributing to our Class of 1962 gift to the B-CC High School Educational Foundation.
To participate in the Class Gift, just visit the above website and click the "Donate Now" button. Then fill out the donation form. You can fill out the "Dedication" section or leave blank, but in the "Additional Information" section at the end of the form, be sure to put "1962" in the "Alums" field. That is the only way to make sure our class gets credit for your donation to the program.
All gifts are appreciated, and tax-deductible. This is a worthy cause, so please consider making your contribution today.
Thank you,
The Reunion Organizing Committee
