Diana Bayles

thaca: Diana K. Bayles, 48, of Ithaca, NY after a short illness, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY. Diana formerly of Diamondale, MI is survived by her parents, Wilma and Richard Bayles of Diamondale, MI, two brothers, Marshal and Michael; a nephew, Jacob Bayles of Charlotte, MI, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Diana also leaves her special friend, John Shaner of Endwell, NY; John's family of Skaneateles, NY and her two kitty's Thomas and Edgar, Diana a proud graduate of Michigan State University. Diana was a dedicated teacher in the Trumansburg School District at the High School level. She was an inspiration to many and will be missed by family, friends, faculty and students. Diana was an avid reader also accomplished at crocheting, knitting, quilting and sewing. Many of these skills were taught to her as a child by her beloved grandmother and mother. She loved textiles of all types which she incorporated into artful creations. A graveside service will be held in Diamondale, MI on Saturday, July 21, 2012. A memorial dedication will be held in Trumansburg, NY at a date to be announced. To celebrate Diana's life, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Care Counsel in Endicott, NY, your local animal shelter or the Literacy Coalition. Arrangements have been made by the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City, NY.
