A tragedy occurs when a friendship ends, but when a life ends as well, the tragedy is greater still. Life ended for Tate Harrison on Dec. 26 when his car hit a tree. After being thrown from the car, Tate died within an hour, while passenger and best friend Vincent Boen was left paralyzed.
Look past the tragedy--those of us who knew Tate also knew that to him, everyday was a celebration of life. Though he probably didn't realize it, Tate showed many of us how to make the most of each day. When one looks back on Tate's life, it seems like the only thing he sees is the tragedy. They have become somewhat blind to all the good things he has done and the good memories he helped create.
If you knew Tate, do him a favor: erase the bad memories-those of the accident and of the funeral. Remember the special things he said and did and be glad he touched your life. If you didn't know Tate, let his life teach you a lesson:
Live one day at a time and make the best of each day.
Thanks Tater-bug. Your memory will live forever in our hearts.
