It appears that I'm supposed to tell you what happened to me since high school. And obviously being the curious type I would like to hear what others have done and I can't expect others to tell me what they've done if I don't tell you what I've done.

Well I left high school 30 years ago (boy can you believe it's been that long) with very long hair and big mutton chop sideburns at 111 pounds not 110 pounds but 111 pounds because I had to gain weight to get into United States Marine Corps where I got my head shaved and received a great life education along with the opportunity to get to sleep in the rain and mud and be paid for it.

After the Marine Corps I went to Houston to be a commercial offshore diver until the oil bust and then I went into the x-ray business. Ok in today's world that might be taken differently so I may need to clarify I got into the medical imaging business by going to college using my Marine Corps college money. Seems to me my life was not quite complete mainly that I didn't have a wife so I went back to Montana to get myself a Montana girl. Not saying Texas girls are bad just that Montana girls are better. Okay, here I go again I guess I've got to be better at political correctness. In the 80's Montana girls were better but now that I have a daughter, Texas girls are Umm as good as Montana girls as long as their mother is from Montana.

Married life was very good and then I received an invitation from Uncle Sam to a party he called Desert Storm. What can I say; there are some invitations you just can't say no to. From this experience I learned that wives have the toughest job of all.

Oh, I also survived couple of hurricanes and again God made it clear the strength of my wife.

My wife just looked over my shoulder and pointed out that I need to include that I received this really cool metal from the Carnegie Hero Fund http://www.chron.com/CDA/archives/archive.mpl?id=1989_619039

Wonderful wife, 2 great children and a good professional life and my small software business have all been good.

I know the big reunion question after 30 years is?
Am I still 111 pounds?
Let's say I've put on a few.

Hairstyle? Long or short?
Genetics didn't give me much of a choice there.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 30 years. When I was growing up I couldn't wait to get away from Helena, and 3 months into my senior year after Mr. Murphy had called me into his office again for something I'm sure I didn't do (ha,ha) I moved to Palm Springs CA where I actually graduated from. Since I already had my diploma the senior party was really fun for me. After 10 years in Palm Springs CA, and living life to the fullest I couldn't wait to get back to Helena. Fifteen years later I married one of the guys I dated in High School (Brad Hahn) and we have two teenage boys, who keep us running every day. I work for the Dept of Transportation with a ton of people from High School so it's been easy to keep up to date on all kinds of stuff. Can't wait to see everyone and have some fun!

I am so excited to see all my friends and classmates. It has been way too many years since I have seen everyone. It will be such an exciting time for those of us who have not been able to attend the past reunions. I really cherish the memories I have of being in high school all the really neat and wonderful people.

30 years already? It makes me stop and think that 30 years ago, the class of 1950 was celebrating their 30th reunion. And we thought they were old!
