2002, June 21st my son Aaron (then 19) while at a church missions outing took an ATV facefirst off a bridge into 6in of water. He burst his spine, crushed his face, fractured his skull and tore his scalp off. His friends pulled him from the water not breathing and bleeding heavily. They were in Hazard county Kentucky and no cell signal. They gave CPR and drove him towards the nearest town where they ran into an EMT on lunch parked by the side of the road. Our first phone call from the little hospital was, don't drive down for a body. So we waited while they tried to find a helicopter ride for him. The story would be too long but suffice to say miracle after miracle brought him to the trauma center in Lexington KY. They told us to come ahead and they would wait on surgery so we could say our goodbyes. They had to revive him three times during surgery and then gave us the news he would be paralyzed from the waist down and had brain damage.  In my "knower" I knew he was going to be alright.  They sent a psychiatristt to me to get me to acknowledge the situation, (crazy Christian women) but I just knew. Many months he was in a wheel chair and then...lo and behold his little toe moved. He walked out of rehab and a documentry was done on him called, "On a wing and a prayer" its paired with the story of the last survivor pulled from the world trade center. His doctors even allowed themselves to be filmed saying there is no reason this kid is walking. The 700 club bought it and we get many phone calls across the country of hurting people.  Aaron is currently training to be a helicoper pilot where he had to pass an FFA? physical. I will never forget that many don't get this outcome, But for me it makes my Multiple Scerosis something I can live with, and my focus on quality not quanity. (forgive all my spelling, I'm an artist! )

Ode to the Class Picture (May seem like The Night Before Christmas)

Twas the night of the Reunion when all thru the Ox - No one was listening, now that was a shock!

The place for the picture was chosen with care - But not to be used cause the food was still there

The class was excited a drink in their hand - Talking and laughing, the past in demand

Deb with a clipboard and I with a shout - Tried to gather the group with alot of doubt

When off to the left there arose such a chatter- A rumer the bar was closed that was the matter

Away to the group I flew like a flash - Loudly proclaiming the rumor is smashed!

A picture of children, running,on the go - Was easier to take then the crowd below

When what to my wondering eyes should appear?- But Mike Disney trying to get them to hear

He leaned to the right, with a hand to his ear - But the jist of my words just wasn't very clear

More rapid I gestured and pointed in vain - And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:

Hey! Darryl and Sheila, Debbie and Joyce! - Move right, more left, get out of the dark!

To the front of the stage, to the right of the wall - Move along, close your mouths, look up you all!

As I stood waiting, they put up a cry - So I took the damn picture with just a small sigh

Up on the balcony I snapped away blue - with the crowd down below shouting they were quite through

And then after saying I think we are done - They all ran away to rejoin all the fun!

As I drew in my head and was turning around - I knew a good picture was not to be found

They were dressed all real nice, from their hats to their shoes - In most of their hands a container of booze

A group in the back were sweating from heat - And the ones in the front were all turning to greet

Their eyes were not on me, their bodies not still - Take the picture! Take the picture, they'd all had their fill!

Most of their mouths were moving at will - But few sat down and were wonderfully chill

With a hand on my chin I awaited some quiet - But all I really got was short of a riot

So now at my computer I do sit - Trying to decide which picture is fit

A little tweek here, lighten it there - Sometimes even photoshop can't fix or repair

With a click of my mouse and a nod of my head - Its as good as it gets just short of dread

To the printer I go, they went straight to their work - Filling the orders, not one did they shirk

And putting each one in an envelope right - Game me a laugh, at the fun, at the sight

I sprang to the car and gave the postman a whistle - Away he did take them like the down of a thistle?

But I say as I'm done the next time if you like - I'M NOT TAKING THE PICTURE WITHOUT A DAMN MIC!!

From Rome to Berlin and then Barclona.

I have not stoped moving since I left Montana.

In under one month I have been in Stuttgart, Rome, Berlin and Barclona as Tec. for Milwaukee Tools.

Great places with great people, and I get paid for it.

And to think it all started in Helena Montana, a place that all most every one I deal with in Europe every day, has no clue where it is.

A place far more to be proud of than all of the seits in an over populated Europe.

My best trip that I make every year is the one I make to Montana, and can not wait until July to come back Home!!!!!!!!!!!!
