Lonnie Tyrone Washington was loved and adored by all who knew him. He was born on October 18, 1960 in Bainbridge, GA and over the time he spent on earth, he was known as a very gentle and kind man.
He attended the Public School system of Tampa, Florida, graduating from Hillsborough High School, where he had a love for basketball. At the age of eighteen, Tyrone moved to New Jersey with his uncle, Jesse, where he was employed by the Grand Union Company for over twenty years and with Stop and Shop for over ten years. On Thursday, July 29, 2010, Tyrone departed from this earthy life to join his father, Lonnie Washington who preceded him in death on May 19, 2004. He leaves to cherish fond memories of him: son, Lonnie Tyrone Washington, Jr.; stepson, Chad Harrison; stepdaughter, Tasha Harrison; grandchildren, Anthony, Caitilyn, Corben, Lydia, Isaiah, Ameerah, Ramona and Yusef Harrison; mother, Minnie Washington; brother, James Brown (Kathy), Bruce Washington and Michael Washington all of Tampa, FL; sisters, Cynthia L. Edward (Roland) and Diane Washington both of Delaware, MD; uncles, Willie C. Johnson (Ruby) of Tampa, FL, Jesse Johnson (Janice), Twp of Washington, NJ and Wallace James (Renee) of Miami, FL; aunts, Willie B. Haughbook of Tampa, FL, Tinnie M. Arrington (Estelle) and Mamie Davis both of Thomasville, GA, Johnnie Johnson of Tampa, FL and Rose L. Screen (Winifred) of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
