First things first -- what is up with that tan??? I'm sure I thought that looked good at the time....
Unfortunately I'm not able to come to the reunion. I will miss seeing everyone and reliving old times.
Now, what have I been doing? Jamie, my husband, and I, were having a little too much fun at work (and play) and didn't get started creating a family quite as early as some of you did. So, the picture you see is NOT that of our grandchild (like many of you) but of our child (he's just three in this picture). Yes, go ahead and laugh it up. While some of you are sending kids off to college, we're sending Aidan off to first grade, HA. When Aidan was born I became a stay-at-home mom and love every minute of it!
As far as the rest of my life... I left Topeka for school in Dallas and got my degree in Business Communications and Marketing. I started work in Public Service at KDFW TV (CBS affiliate) in Dallas. After that I moved to Trammell Crow Company as the National Retail Marketing Director. I then started a TV, film and video production co. that was great fun and really challenging. After some great successes with solid national accounts I sold my half of the company and went to work for the Dallas Stars Hockey Club (I know, odd career choice but it was SO much fun…) as Community Relations Director. After several years there I accepted a position as the Community Development Director for Texas Health Resources doing what I do best; fund-raising, event planning and friend development for non-profit organizations.
Thanks to the reunion committee I have gotten back in touch with several old friends. Thanks for all of your hard work coordinating this great event.
I hope you all have a great time and have a laugh for me!
