After graduation I went to Ohio State from 61 - 69 and received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Next to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore for a post-doctoral fellowship, and then to the University of Maryland for an M.D. in 1975 followed by an internship then residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. I have been at Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California, for 30 years where I am a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, working full-time operating, teaching, and doing surgical research. I am married to Terrie Gordon-Gamble, a Nurse-administrator, and we have 4 children, Jeff 43, Laura 41, Jamie 25, Justin 23
