I always thought I would return to live in California after I graduated Cal, but it didn't happen. I do miss the ocean, the scrub oak, the great weather...but now I live on the East Coast, after spending many years in New Orleans (yes- Katrina drove us out).
I just wanted to say that I think we were all very privileged to go to CdM High during the golden age of California public education. For free, we all got an incredible education. When I think of the variety of classes, the great teachers (Mr Johnson,Mr Corea and Mr Vassos being my faves), but also the clubs and arts opportunities we had that are likely no longer available, I realize we were super lucky. I only hope my granddaughter (now 4) gets a great public education like I did! Hope you guys have a wonderful time at the reunion!
