Thanks to everyone that you would include me in all of the class reunions even though I moved in 9th Grade. In my heart I was always a T-Bird and hated not going to High School with y'all! (Yeah, I live in Arkansas so the slang is catching!) I look forward to seeing everyone and renewing old friendships!
I've been in Arkansas for 16 years with son Lukas. My parents found this beautiful area and decided to move here. I loved it too, so followed their path. I started my Real Estate career in Wichita and called old friends from Topeka...some of you will surely remember Jimmy Dykes. Well, his family lived here and BW Dykes owned his own Real Estate Company, so he offered me a job! Small world, huh! I still have my Brokers license and dabble in the market some, but 10 years ago decided that being gone nights and weekends showing homes was not fun anymore especially when Lukas got involved in sports. So, I was introduced to the owner of a company that acquires Street Right of Ways and Utility Easements for cities, developers, and other utility companies and decided to give it a try...well 10 years later I'm still at it! It's still in the Real Estate field and I work closely with project engineers and city managers. Very interesting and I meet alot of great people! Best of all I have my office at home, or on the deck, or the dock...it's great!
I married Alan in 2003, had Quentin later that year and moved to a lakefront house on Beaver Lake outside Rogers, Arkansas. Can't keep me from the water...can't forget Lake Jivaro!
Lukas, 20, plays guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, and is in a band. He works at The Guitar Center and loves it! He's been in college but will sit out a semester. Quentin, 5, just started Kindergarten...yep...I've probably got the youngest one of all! He loves sports and music...baseball and fishing like his Dad..fishing and swimming like me! He keeps us on our toes...and worn out.
Alan is a Superintendent with a commercial contractor and loves his Bass Club and hunting. We dated 27 years ago, and finally figured out we were right for each other. Better late than never I guess!
Can't wait to see everyone!
