Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Shawnee Heights Christian Church at 29th and Tecumseh Road for Donald D. George, 16, 4301 Heathcliff Drive who died Tuesday night in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted May 5 and underwent abdominal surgery. An autopsy was scheduled to determine cause of death, but results were unavailable.
He was born June 8, 1961, at Whittier, California, and spent most of kis life in the Topeka community.
He was a junior at Shawnee Heights High School where he was active in football, wrestling, and tennis program. Earlier he attended Highland Park South and Tecumseh South grade schools and Shawnee Heights Junior High School.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. George, at home; and two sisters Brenda Bernice George and Connie Dee George, both at home.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Contibutions may be made to the Donald D. George Memorial Fund to be designated by relatives and sent in care of Shawnee Heights High School.
Donald D. George will lie in state from 10 a.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home.
