High School was hell, but I would still like to attend the reunion. After all, I rarely disliked anyone, even when they disliked me. If you knew me in 9th-11th grade, there's a good chance that I was using the nickname "Psycho." I was lucky to be done with high school before Columbine.

On the plus side, college was a completely different experience. I had a small circle of good friends, and I was able to run for student Vice-President on a ticket with my roommate. We were outspent by about 10:1, but still picked up something like 40% of the vote. I spent most of college focused on competitive debate (my favorite activity in HS).

I went to grad school at Rice University, and today I'm a professor, teaching political science at Texas A&M University -- Central Texas, in Killeen, TX. I teach most of the catalog, but I've created a whole sequence of courses on war: Weapons of Mass Destruction, Terrorism, Civil Wars and Military Intervention, Conflict Studies, Peace Studies, etc.

You can easily find me on the web by searching for my on-line nickname "abbamouse." I married just out of college; we have one (hyperactive -- imagine that) daughter, 8 years old.

I don't know if I'll be able to afford to attend the reunion. Minot is far away from Killeen. I'll be more likely to make the trip if I believe that people I actually remember are going to be there. Unfortunately, my unpopularity in HS meant that I often didn't even learn the names of people who sat right next to me. So there aren't all THAT many people I really remember well. Still, I wish everyone well.
