We moved from Holbrook, Arizona to the Colville Indian Agency the summer of 1960. I attended 7th and 8th grade in Nespelem then on to high school in Coulee Dam. I skipped school to help my father move to Coulee Dam the day President Kennedy was shot. I lived at 601 Yucca St until I moved to Eugene, Oregon the summer of 1965. I lived there for about a year then moved back to Coulee Dam. In July of 1967 I joined the Navy and flew off to San Diego for boot camp. After a WestPac on the USS Alamo LSD 33 I went to Submarine School and spent a total of 23 years in the Navy retiring in July of 1990 as a Senior Chief Submarine Sonar Technician. I metc and married my wife Lorraine in May of 1975 and while we were Stationed in San Diego we Adopted 3 special needs children. There all grown up and have their own families. We have 8 grandchildren and 1 more on the way. I medically retired in 2006 because of a tumor in my spine.
