Mr. Gregory A. Bergstrom, 41, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at a Topeka hospital. He had heart disease.
He was born Sept. 24, 1961, in Topeka, to Vern and Wanda Everhart Bergstrom. He attended Shawnee Heights High School.
Mr. Bergstrom had worked 18 years at Hooper Roofing, most recently as a foreman.
Survivors include his parents, Vern and Wanda Bergstrom, Berryton; his longtime mate Karla Land, and her daughters Kristi Land and Stephanie Williams; four sisters, LaWanna Bergstrom Denise Weixelman Angela Bergstrom and Cory Ginter; one brother Clay Bergstrom: and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Berryton. Mr. Bergstrom will lie in state after noon Monday at the funeral chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
