EXCITING! Another reunion! Looking forward to seeing all you Wildcats. As for me, back in 1970-something I was buried in books and going for the grades. (nerd..yep..I asked 11 girls to the Senior Prom and finally one said yes. nerd..yep..I have a list of their names still). Also, NJROTC was a big part of NW for me and I considered a career in the Navy. But as my actual career developed after college beginning in the 1980's, I found myself outdoors and usually wet and muddy! Various jobs included running environmental field trips on Smith Island, taking water and fish samples from the Chesapeake Bay for a state agency, monitoring and managing oysters in the Bay, and other dirty jobs. Boats used ranged from canoes and rowboats to high powered outboards, to larger Bay workboats. Then it was into the office as the years went by. Currently I am the Shellfish Director at the MD Department of Natural Resources. Oysters are all the rage - the big deal. Real life includes my wife Debbie (from High Point HS), our daughter (a professional violinist), a great son-in-law last year, and an aging toy poodle who has the same birthday as me. Retirement is a few years away. Traveling would be nice but I think I'll be too busy cleaning out all the stuff in our basement :( Hobbies include sailing, hiking, biking, figure skating (ok, ask me at the reunion or email me) and popping Advils after each one; plus obeying my wife and daughter, and having a DQ Blizzard now and then. Sorry to write so much. Ending with... It's a beautiful day. Life is short. Enjoy every minute of it.
