Among my favorite memories of high school, Honors English with Ms. Barbara Goleman stands out. It was in her class that I discovered my love of literature, and I credit her with inspiring me to become a teacher, too.

I often thought of her as I worked with my middle school students on their writing or talked with them about books. In a sense, her influence extended to my students, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
