WHAT UP T-BIRDS!! Went to Washburn U., got a job at KTWU, then WIBW TV as a photographer. Got thrown out of Washburn for poor/no grades, met my future wife Sandy and worked at WIBW ‘til 1986. Got a job in Fort Myers, Fl. at WBBH TV shooting news and sports. “Fort Myers, Newlyweds and Nearly Deads”. In 1994 moved to Boston to shoot at WHDH TV. In 1999 we decided to call New England home and built a house in Whitman, Mass. Married Sandy in 2001. Yes, that's right 16 years together before we got married. Why rush into things. June 2003, Ciara Jade Cortez, the love of my life is born and there is no turning back, You are officially a PARENT. We had our first father/daughter sweetheart dance at school and looking forward to more. Add two black labs and two cats and we call it home.
My parents, brothers and sisters still live in the Tecumseh/Topeka area and we try to go back once a year to see Ciaras grandparents and nieces and nephews. You can't swing a cat in Topeka without hitting a Cortez. I have kept up with some of you thru my family and I appreciate your well wishes.
I look forward to seeing the Class of 1979 in September, older, wiser, grayer and heavier.
