Living just south of Okanogan since 1984. The favorite part of my life is my 2 daughters, Beth and Amber, and their families which include my grandson Jarrod, age 11, and grandson Anderson, currently 10 mos. Activities include showing rabbits, fishing, music, and travel.--and playing on facebook.
Graduated from WSU 1968 in education. Taught 7th grade, Brookings, Oregon. Married fellow teacher Bruce Witters (Biology and math) in 1969 who ran and operated Charter Boats. He passed away in early 90s. Was a power plant operator at Chief Jo at the time.
I'm retired from Washington St.Employment Services where I worked as a Job Training Counselor. Youth counselor starting in 85, then dislocated worker program when the mill went down. Taught GED for Wenatchee Valley college many years.
Checkered past includes clarinet in Village Green marching Society (15 yrs?), Okanogan Valley Chorus and Orchestra, especially G and S Plays where favorite role was as the Faerie Queen in Iolanthe. Worked as Charter booking agent, newspaper lay-up artist, tutor, cook, gardner, ASVAB test administrator, and other occupations. Currently an Okanogan Fair barn superintendent with daughter. (total over 12 years) Raised sheep, rabbits, had horses, kept foster dogs, 4- H leader, and many more activities through the years.
Have lived in Brookings, Klamath Falls, Ashland and The Dalles Oregon. Elmer City, Brewster and Okanogan Wa.
