___________Below added by Ed before his death_____________
It's been a long time since high school. I had a lot of great memories from the good 'ol days.
Since high school I've been in different colleges getting a couple of degrees on the way. I started my working career as a technician installing, fixing, and maintaining cash registers and scanning systems in grocery stores. As good as that job sounded, I opted to become a golf pro. I was a golf pro for 16 years and then decided that working long hours in the summer and having to work weekends and holidays was too much. I then entered the construction supply field. I am now the Administrator in the trench safety department here in Kansas City. I really enjoy my job and the people I work with, and of course a Monday through Friday work week is good also.
On a serious note, I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August on 2006 and have battling it ever since. I have been through many surgeries, chemo, and even being in a coma. I have obtained a new look due to chemo, that of course, is not having any hair. But it does save on shampoo and shaving supplies. LOL
I have two daughters, Kelsey who is 14 and is a freshman at Basehor-Linwood high school and plays volleyball, and Lindsey who is 18 and a freshman at Ottawa University and has earned a golf scholarship.
I also have two stepchildren, Devin who is 23 and in the security field and a Laura who is 26 and is an accountant for the Dept. of Agriculture.
I got remarried in June of 2005 to a wonderful lady that is a 8th grade History teacher and has been so great throughout all of my illness. And without her constant overseeing of all of my medical issues, by keeping up on all of my lab work and keeping the doctors in place, has been the main reason that I am still here today. I owe my life to her!
