" We stand prepared, We accept the challenge. Our time is now. The victory is certain, the victory is certain."

This was the SSCHS creed that I've have kept throughout life. This motto helped me to stay on task, stay motivated, and reach for the zenith.

As the first graduating class of Science Skills Center High School, I represented a generation of students whom were on a mission. A mission to succeed and achieve: A mission to explore, to extrapolate great characteristics from others, to engage in new endeavors and apply to these life long lessons into our daily lives while simultaneously making a difference within our community. I was inspired by great teachers of my days such as Mrs. Pruitt ( social studies), Mrs. Blow ( Physics), Mr. Turney ( Chemistry), and outstanding math teachers such as Mr. Lucas ( calculus) and Mr. Jean (Sequential 1). Without these early social constructive leaders whom made an impact in molding who I am today, I would not be able to carry the baton in the educational system not only as a science pedagogue; but also as an innovator whom had a chance doing research at the Rockefeller University under the auspices of the Outreach Program, at the Summer Research Institute at Cornell University, and lastly gene protein modeling at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. I was also one of the recipients of the Education Update Educator Of The Year 2006, and had an opportunity to become a lead teacher for the Urban Advantage three years consecutively.

At this moment in time I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education. It is my goal to apply my science background in a new realm of scholar practitioner. As the first summa cum laude, SSCHS will always be my alma matter guiding my path. I stood prepared, and I will always accept the challenge.
