Nostalgia is generally not the healthiest of emotions, but occasionally I can't help myself! Let's see: I've lived in NYC since 1974; pursued several careers in succession--singing, PR and communications for non-profit clients; science writing/journalism; and now, ESL teaching (English as a Second Language). I love everything I do! I've got one son (Roger, 31), no grandchildren as yet, and many friends, some of whom qualify as family. And I live on Manhattan's Upper West Side, not far from Columbia University. Writing (my own essays, blog, and commentary) plus choral singing are my passions these days--and, okay, trying to effect progressive reform at a time when there are fewer openings for that approach.
