I have enjoyed a lucky and wonderful life so far, but as I get older, I realize that I can no longer depend on my parent’s good genes and my youth to sustain me. As a retired Geriatric Psychiatrist, and despite being loved by others, I realize that my physical and emotional well being lies solely with me. We must put in the work.
Towards that end, despite being retired for the last 10 years, I continue to take on new challenges and projects. I refuse to allow any physical issues which can accompany aging define me or hold me back. Thank goodness for Personal Trainers !
