Hi, everyone! Glad to see this website; thanks to those of you who created it. Here's just a brief synopsis of what I've been up to since 1970.

Mr. Jeffrey Lauritzen, a native of Minnesota, graduated from Maplewood Academy in 1970, Union College in 1974 with a baccalaureate degree in music education. He married Vicky Sears, a Sunnydale Academy graduate a week after graduation. They have two children, Becky, a physician in Grand Rapids, MN, and Brian, a broadcast journalist in Los Angeles, CA.

Jeff continued his education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where in 1996 he completed a graduate degree in music education with an emphasis in choral conducting. He began his teaching career in 1974 at Cedarvale Jr. Academy, just outside Kansas City, Missouri in 1974 where he taught all the music for the school and the Bible for grades 7-12. He moved to Wisconsin Academy in 1980, and during his time there completed his 9-12 certification for teaching religion. After a one-year stint at Clara Rogers Elementary school and Walla Walla College in 1985-1986, he moved to Collegedale, TN, where he taught music and religion at Collegedale Academy until moving to Fresno Adventist Academy in 2014.

Mr. Lauritzen loves working with teenagers, especially introducing them to the Gospel, whether that be in a religion class or a choral ensemble. He is also an avid snow skier, a landscape photographer, and enjoys international travel. He has visited 29 foreign countries, and has sponsored student international trips to 14 countries.
