LIFE! "What a long strange trip it's been!"

Take me back to Pennsylvania where the four seasons were more than a boy band; and the fields, hills, mountains and woodlands comprised the most beautiful landscapes. Ice skating, sledding, football in the snow. Thanks to Ocky, whom I ran into at the Beef & Ale Tavern after my military discharge in '73, ice hockey became a big passion for me as a forward and a goalkeeper. Thank you, too, Bernard Marcel Parent.

Take me back to the dances in the gymnasium. Back to the Motown Sound, Rock & Roll, Folk Music, and Psychedelic Rock of that '60s era. Back to the '50's era of Elvis, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, etc. Take me back to the One-Hit Wonders, and all that low-self esteem music about not being able to live without you!

Take me back to the Wonder Years of those early romances that didn't work out. We members of the life-was-simpler-pre-internet-email-cell phone-and fax machine-era of the '60s lived a much different and much lower stress life. Though hardships and disappointments came, we dealt with them face-to-face with family and friends; yet, information was a research project so the latter days internet was a helpful addition - IF that information found there is true. It is still not safe to talk with strangers, though, usually.... annnnd remember: Don't sign nuthin' without reading it firstly and seeing a lawyer as well!

We were better connected to the Living God of the Universe. Eventually. even I was redeemed but not after much to do with the Lord's Rod of Correction to get me back in sync with His Staff of Direction.
I began to look away from earthly things. The further away from earthly things, the better!

Things started happening. Thanks to the efforts of those who put together the Class of '69 Reunion Site on which Rita Sokoloski and me met. Ten years later we married. So, who is in a hurry, already!?
A number minor miracles began to happen. Not the kind that Smokey wrote and sang about I paid attention & gave thanks!

Psalm 23 -
of the Psalms of King David of Israel and Judah:
"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want..."
Amen to that!

Hello!... and Shalom my friends. Peace be with you and give thanks to the Lord God for all He has done for us - even without our knowing it or our caring to credit Him for that blessing - for we have a life that billions of people in this world would gladly trade us for, no questions asked.

After all, we were not born into poverty or drug dependency or a ghetto or a third World nation.

We were Born in the USA, or your family was heading that way!
