I have been married for 40 years to Cathey Wigbells, who is originally from Corpus Christie. We have three married daughters and one grandson. After college I attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, and did a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in clinical pharmacology. I have worked for three different pharmaceutical companies (what was Upjohn, Hoffmann-LaRoche and AstraZeneca) in clinical research with a focus on early drug development. Because of the jobs we have lived in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the UK for 4 years (that was a great experience). I retired 3 years ago and we moved to Virginia to be closer to our daughters.
